Presented with Holley! Phase 3 of Kibbe and Friends is officially here, and Holley is back for more fun, foolishness, and flying orange Chargers! Sure, you know Holley for making carburetors, fuel injection, exhaust, and other happy giving items….but did you know they also have wiper motor conversions for your classic ride? Boom. Movie Review: Planes, Trains, and Automobiles!

The KF Show is off at SEMA 2022 this week! That’s good news though, because we’ll come back with plenty of stories and content for you. In the mean time we are kicking off the month of November with a “re-run” of our famous review of Planes, Trains, and Automobiles!

So here’s the thing – when it comes to a Thanksgiving themed highly quotable slapstick-yet-tearjerker movie to review there’s really only one that is worthy of doing so for: Planes, Trains & Automobiles. Let’s admit it – John Hughes plus Steve Martin plus John Candy equals perfection. And yes, before you even say it, we have reviewed this movie years before with Finnegan (Episode 51) in fact. And yes…it was so funny then that, like this movie, it’s worth a repeat of because it’s as timeless as it gets….plus the re-enactment of the “you play with your balls” scene was pretty epic!

Better yet….the entire second hour on Patreon (www.patreon.com/kfshow) does a deeper dive on the car, the quotes, the unaired plot points that explained so much more, and another movie re-enactment of the most famous scene in the movie. You know the one….those aren’t pillows!

Kick back and enjoy – and have a Happy Thanksgiving!

TMCP #515: Live from Roadkill Nights 2022: Special Feature – Jeff Gale Dodge Chief Interior Designer, Justin Chizek Dodge Brand Manager, Kyumin Oh Durango Brand Manager, Herman Young Demonology

Welcome to Part 2 of our 2022 Dodge Reveals and Roadkill Nights coverage! We had so many great opportunities to speak with Dodge insiders that a second *Bonus* show was required to fit it all in. As with Episode 514, if you love inside OEM info on Dodge cars and marketing, this episode will leave you a little mind blown. Dodge insiders from the marketing brands and vehicle designers give great information about upcoming models as well as hints about what the future could bring. This episode is capped off with Herman Young, Dodge Demon drag racer and YouTuber. For people that want drag racing setup insight, listen twice!

TMCP #504: Rick Love from Vintage Air; Re-inventing Class Car A/C, Electric Compressor Evaluations, and Killer Hot Rod!

Every spring, when the weather starts to get warm, I like to talk to Rick Love, President of Vintage Air about new cold air products and technical details of the add on systems. Rick is an amazing resource and a leader, not only in air conditioning but in the automotive aftermarket as a whole. At the 2021 SEMA show he was inducted into the SEMA hall of fame for his lifetime of work in the industry!

TMCP #497: Ask Rick – Which Modern EV Company will Stand the Test of Time? Plus, a History of the Batmobile!

Happy Saint Patrick’s Day! With the launch of a new month it’s time to bring Rick Schmidt back on for another session of Ask Rick. As you may have noticed, in the premier marketing event of the year (i.e. the Super Bowl) all of the car companies focused solely on advertising their new electric offerings. Chevy went quite far on their new EV Silverado with some – admittedly – really engaging advertisements (we are suckers for Austin Powers).

As this trend seems inevitable, and with the proliferation of new electric car brands popping up all over, and I wanted to get Rick’s opinion on whether we were about to see a new round of automobile manufacturers join the market as they did when electric cars existed with various companies in the early 20th Century. History does tend to repeat itself, right? Should we make a speculative bet on buying and holding any of these new cars for future collector value?

TMCP #496: Bob Broderdorf – Dodge Is Looking For A Chief Donut Maker…And It Might Be YOU!

Our guest this week is Bob Broderdorf. Bob is the Director of North American Dodge Operations and an all around Mopar performance guy! Dodge has been sharing and promoting the “Never Lift” campaign where over 24 months they will show where the brand is headed and why it is great to be a Dodge fan. In this interview he’ll give the details on what it is, how it works, and how you can get HIRED for a one year gig with a huge paycheck, a Hellcat to drive, and all the Dodge events you could swing a stick at!

Daytona 500 Movie Prep: Talladega Nights! Note: In prep for the upcoming Daytona 500 we are including a rebroadcast of our review of the movie Talladega Nights. This was originally presented in Episode 120 of the Kibbe and Friends Show.

TMCP #466: Scott Lambert on the 2021 Twin Cities Auto Show, New Cars and Future Classics Up Close and Personal!

This week, I spoke to Scott Lambert, President of Minnesota Auto Dealer’s Association, and wanted to find out more about the 2021 Twin Cites Auto Show. Scott’s history is quite different than most of our guests but he is still a car guy at heart. His background is in politics and was actually an automobile industry lobbyist talking about new cars and dealerships at the highest levels of government. It makes sense that he now uses his power of influence to fill this huge automotive event with all kinds of new car excitement.
