TMCP #496: Bob Broderdorf – Dodge Is Looking For A Chief Donut Maker…And It Might Be YOU!

FEATURE INTERVIEWS:

Bob Broderdorf:

Bill Goldberg: Chief Donut Maker Campaign!

Our guest this week is Bob Broderdorf. Bob is the Director of North American Dodge Operations and an all around Mopar performance guy! Dodge has been sharing and promoting the “Never Lift” campaign where over 24 months they will show where the brand is headed and why it is great to be a Dodge fan. In this interview he’ll give the details on what it is, how it works, and how you can get HIRED for a one year gig with a huge paycheck, a Hellcat to drive, and all the Dodge events you could swing a stick at!

Bob grew up in Detroit loving all kinds of muscle cars. He has always worked within Chrysler and shared his many moves throughout the years. He’s seen it all within the organization, but now he’s back at Dodge. You can hear the passion in his voice for Dodge products and where the Stellantis group of brands is headed in the future. The car in his garage? A Dodge Durango Hellcat, of course!

The Dodge Garage web site is the focal point of the Never Lift campaign to get a heads up of what is next and watch the garage doors roll up to reveal even new wonders. The Chief Donut Maker job is a part of the unfolding plan and they are truthfully looking for a down to earth Dodge fan. Bob stated that if they wanted a YouTube star, Instagram model, or any social media whiz, they could have that already. What they really want an honest-to-God true fan of the brand to be the ambassador to the rest of the world. If you live, eat, and breathe MOPAR….this could be you! Time is running out and you can submit a 2 minute video as your resume but you only have until February 28th to get it in. Make sure to check out the tips from Goldberg to make sure you hit all of the talking points.

The Return of Direct Connection

Another exciting announcement is the return of Direct Connection including special Direct Connection dealerships authorized to install high performance parts and still keep your warranty. Bob pointed out that he really does not care how many dealerships become partners but is more concerned that they are all in and dedicated to being the best performance dealerships and to bring a great experience to the fans.

Thanks Bob!

Daytona 500 Movie Prep:

Our Review of Talladega Nights!

We’re proud to say that this segment is sponsored by the fantastic muscle car and hot rod wiring supply company, Ron Francis Wiring, and we’re very appreciative that they are our show sponsor! Thanks, Ron Francis! (Yes, we know that they usually sponsors the Pro-Touring Update with Larry Callahan….but stupid yet funny racing movies have their place in this world, dang it! Plus, Scott Bowers of Ron Francis Wiring looks a little like Ricky Bobby….so, enjoy!)

Daytona 500 Movie Prep: Talladega Nights!

Note: In prep for the upcoming Daytona 500 we are including a rebroadcast of our review of the movie Talladega Nights. This was originally presented in Episode 120 of the Kibbe and Friends Show.

You knew it would happen some time:

“Shake and bake!” “If you ain’t first, you’re last!” “I am a semi professional race car driver and am amateur tattooo artist.” “Don’t snort those Lucky Charms.”

If there is one racing movie that is as often (or perhaps more) quoted than Days of Thunder, it’s Talladega Nights! Listen in or our full review of perhaps the dumbest, most magical, most wonderful racing movie ever made that was pitched to – and purchased by – a major motion picture studio with nothing other than the following words: “Will Ferrell as a NASCAR Driver.”
