Holley is the official EFI source for Kibbe and Friends and is the PROUD sponsor of this episode! This episode features the full recap of the entire Terminator Stealth install on #KibbeLee at Cody Crafted in Burleson, TX. The system is on, it works, the car runs, nothing leaks, and we’re ready to do some fine tuning!

We need your help! We’re working with Holley on future things to do with the show….and we really need to know where you live and what you drive. Could you please fill out this super-duper easy four question survey for us? It would REALLY help move the ball forward for the future initiatives we have planned together. http://bit.ly/TMCP_Podcast_Survey

Movie Review – Days of Thunder! Since the Daytona 500 is right around the corner we knew it was time to do what needed to be done: review Days of Thunder! The team that brought you Top Gun, brings you Top Car – better known as Days of Thunder. Both movies feature a wildly talented but undisciplined rebel who is as awesome with driving machinery as he is with the ladies. Both feature a helmet-less motorcycle riding Tom Cruise as the lead who goes through massive success riding his own ego….until his butt can’t cash them. This is the movie that proves to get the girls, you gotta go fast, and if you’re from California you’re not really a yankee…you’re not really from anywhere.

TMCP #402: From Architecture to Race Teams to Hot Rods – Cody Young’s Amazing Hot Rod Shop Journey; Now Adding Holley Fuel Injection to the Kibbe Lee!

This weeks show is with Cody Young, owner and operator of Cody Crafted specialty shop. Cody grew up with a passion for cars and speed, which led him into racing and building race cars. He traveled around and did some wrenching or sales as well as stand in racing for some teams. After years of living life in the fast lane, it was time to settle down and pick a reliable job to support his family. Cody started working in a dealership and after a few years there, he realized that the Saturday hours were causing him to miss his boys growing up. His realization that life was slipping through his fingers, he knew it was time to start his own business so he could call the shots. After working in a fab shop, to learn how to do the work, he started Cody Crafted and is able to spend time with family while still building vehicles that fire his passion.

Check out Episode 359 where I talked to Jeff Teel from Holley regarding the Terminator Stealth fuel injection system. This system looks like the old school Holley carb just like what was used on the General Lee. I have been talking about installing this injection system since even before the Kibbe Lee was purchased. Cody, being the consummate listener, noticed that I had a lot going on and he thought that this is his time to step up and lend a hand. He has installed a few different injection systems in various cars and trucks and knew that he could help out with a little expertise. I greatly appreciate the offer to help and thought I should have him on the show to learn more about CodyCrafted.

If you would like to know more about Cody and what CodyCrafted can do for you, check out his page at CodyCrafted.com or on Instagram.com/codycrafted. You can keep up with the latest happenings on Facebook.com/CodyCrafted.

TMCP #382: “Small” Front Tire Cars Have a Shot Again! Ed Capen on The New Rules Changes for the 2019 Good Guys Autocross!

This weeks interview is with Ed Capen, Vice President, Sales and Sponsorships for Good-guys Rod & Custom Association to talk about the new rules for the 2019 racing season. Ed has been on the show previously and we got straight into the rules. Good-guys is first and foremost a car show with an Autocross added on. The customer is the car show attendee and the goal is to make it fun and so that car owners do not have to build their cars specifically for this race series.

The new rules are very exciting and make it possible for a normal or slightly modified classic car owner to be able to compete against other similar vehicles. Classes such as Pro-X now exist but the massive tire, super lightweight, race specific cars are not competing against Joe Normal’s heavy car with smaller tires.

TMCP #364: Ron Francis Wiring’s Super Cool Coyote Powered SVO Mustang; Pro-Touring Update with Larry Callahan

In this episode of TMCP our feature guest is the owner and president of Ron Francis Wiring, Scott Bowers. Scott is a  huge supporter of the show I have come to know him and look forward to every time we can get together. He and the staff at Ron Francis are car fanatics with a passion for electronics who enjoy putting their products on the road.

This year the Hot Rod Power Tour introduced the Sponsors Shootout for manufacturers to participate in featuring drag racing, auto crossing and the long haul road trip all without changing tires or swapping parts on the vehicles. Scott thought this would be a great time to showcase the new car they just put together. The Ron Francis Wiring team built a 1984 Mustang SVO and put a Coyote engine in it. After developing the engine harness for sale, there were many parts lying around the research lab and of course this was the perfect excuse to try it all out in a very cool event.
