K&F Show Summary: Finally – the political Dukes episode we’ve been waiting for! Kinda. If there was an episode that could combine Nathan Warren with Ben Jones portraying Cooter, this would be it. Cooter – with God’s blessed skills – steals President Jimmy Carter’s car.Bo and Luke get him out of it, but not before using their smoking hot cousin to position herself as a faux-prostitute to distract the bad guys. Who are the bad guys in this one you ask? Boss Hogg – who has a car theft and chop shop ring. And Boss thinks his guys stole the car and wants it recovered to meet Jimmy Carter personally, but in the end it’s Uncle Jesse that gets the call of thanks from the Oval Office. And before the episode is over we will once and for all know whether Boss and Uncle Jesse are Republicans or Democrats. The 2024 Presidential race had nothing on this!

K&F Show Summary: This one is a WINNER! You can summarize this episode with this: “Come on General, Get it Up!” The Dukes, Rosco, Daisy, Uncle Jesse, a substitute Cooter, a grandmother, and a random Playboy Playmate of the month all work together to keep Boss Hogg from being murdered. The bad guys get some engraving plates – made by starving artist Granny Annie – so that they can counterfeit $5 bills. Granny accidentally pays Bo and Luke with phony money, they get busted for it, Boss Hogg gets the plates from Granny, Bo and Luke steal them back, they save his life, the end.
Also in this episode….some wicked door impacts on the General Lee and the record setting 230-foot long Oxnard train jump by Al Wyatt. If that’s not enough, the episode begins – yes – BEGINS with the Oak Ridge Boys doing some lip syncing like lips have never been synced before. And then James Best puts on an acting clinic that leaves the show telling the moral if always helping a friend in need, not matter what they’ve done to you. Put it all together and you have a tidy little episode.

K&F Show Summary: Friends, for a lot of you this one has been a long time coming. This is our review of the Andy Samberg movie “Hot Rod.” It’s the tale of Rod, a young Evil Knievel wanna be stuntman, who makes his quest in life to do killer stunts to earn enough money to pay for his step father’s heart transplant. And that….is about as serious as it gets. Rod cannot grow a mustache, so he uses a fake one during his stunts. To quell his anger, he does gymnastics in the forest until he falls down the side of a mountain for about 2 minutes. His loser buddies build his ramps and light his fireworks. If there’s a school bus to jump, he’s your man. He won’t make it, but he’s your man anyway. It’s stupid, slapstick, musical, and pure comedic genius in every way. 10 Corndogs from all of us!

K&F Show Summary: In the mind of Corndog, this movie is the ’69 Charger movie of movies. I think he’d even rather have a DMCL (screen used) Charger than a screen used General Lee. He’s crazy, because this super weird 1974 box office smash starring Peter Fonda is a whacked-out example of what happens when directors and actors all use drugs while making a movie. The only redeeming thing is the stunts and the Charger. Al Wyatt, Jr is in it though, so maybe this is where he and the Charger first melded together to form the most dynamic duo ever on automotive cinematic history. Watch it for the car stunts and the helicopter flying and skip the rest. (Editor’s Note: Kibbe is the only one of the three of us that feel this way, but since he’s the guy that types this stuff up his opinion is what counts the most, apparently.)

KF Show Summary: If there were ever an episode where I learned the love of a good car, it was this! Luke gets hypnotized into selling the General Lee so that Boss can have it demolished (i.e. murdered) and out of his life, once and for all. And as the smartest and best shot Duke boy….he does what no one else could do; not Boss, Rosco, Uncle Jesse, the President of the United States, or even Bo…..he gets rid of the General. And by doing so unknowingly sentences the General to death. And when it looks like the General is indeed doomed, Cooter without hesitation gambles his life to get the General back – and wins. And then Luke comes to his senses. And then he without hesitation gambles his life to save the General. And wins. All to save the life of a car….that as we know is just an inanimate object, but for some reason seems as alive to us as our dog. We’ve all had a car or a truck that we knew we loved and that loved us back. This episode sends that home.This is also the episode that we see the new look of the General that will last until the show ends. 10 Dogs.

With the recent passing of Kowalski himself (actor Barry Newman) we decided the time had come to give it it’s due. The thing is, of our trio none of us was really a hard core fanatic of the movie. KF Show Summary: On our quest for a Father’s Day episode we decided to review this one! This is the episode where Luke, an ex boxer in the Marines who nearly accidentally killed someone, has to choose his Uncle Jesse’s farm or to trade his soul. And he can’t choose either. Uncle Jesse knows that he has a dilemma to help Luke with, but instead of giving him the answer (which he COULD d0), he helps Luke learn how to make an impossible decision on his own. Because that’s what fathers do best; teach their kids how to make the tough decisions and be better for it. And then Luke punches the bad guy out, wins the farm anyway, and Jack Gill makes jumping history in the General Lee with the first ever “bungee” suspension vest. 10 Dogs.

KF Show Summary: There was a time in this country where you could do anything and subjective morals said that drugs – like marijuana were evil, but objectification of women…..was a good thing. Smoke em if you got em, right? Times have changed. Anyway, this is the one where Bo and Luke accidentally pick up a water heater that’s really a giant box of marijuana meant for a crime Lord (that old chestnut). In 1980, that meant sexy private detectives in a convertible Trans Am were comin’ after you! It also meant that in 1980 the Dukes of Hazzard had so much juice that this was the SECOND time a new spinoff plot would be introduced in an episode. The Dukes partner up with the detectives, take down the bad guys, right the wrongs, wear the tight jeans, climb the mountains in short shorts, and all’s right with the world. Except the spinoff. Didn’t happen. Thought it was no fault of those jeans. 8.5 Corndogs.
