2026 Starts Here:
More Show, More Stories,
Back to the Beginning!

With 2026 officially underway, this episode marks a turning point for the Kibbe & Friends Show. This year we’re expanding—more formats, more content, more ways to hang out with you, and more of what makes this show what it is. Episode 352 sets that tone immediately, starting with a little life, a little chaos, and the kind of stories that only seem to happen when you leave home for five minutes.
Over the break, I found myself in Yellowstone, freezing temperatures, snow coaches, snowmobiles, and a reminder that modern transportation can still absolutely betray you. The trip delivered everything from epic scenery to mechanical failure, which feels on-brand for this show. Back home, Bernie stayed busy at the hacienda, Corndog kept the wheels turning through the holidays, and before we knew it, we were rolling right into 2026.
That momentum carried us straight into one of the more entertaining side discussions of the episode: an eBay General Lee listing that had the internet buzzing. The guys break down what’s right, what’s wrong, and what makes the car miss the mark—from details that don’t line up to choices that would make even casual Dukes fans scratch their heads. It’s a reminder that not every orange Charger with a flag is created equal, and the details matter.
The Dukes Of Hazzard – Episode Review:
“One Armed Bandits”

This week’s Dukes Review takes us all the way back to where it started. “One Armed Bandits” isn’t just the first episode of The Dukes of Hazzard—it’s a very different version of the show than most people remember. This is Dukes before it became wholesome, family-friendly television. It’s rougher, edgier, and far closer to Smokey and the Bandit than Sunday-night comfort TV.
The tone is unmistakable. Bar fights, crooked politics, loose morals, and Daisy Duke leaning hard into mischievous, promiscuous troublemaking—it’s all here. Bo and Luke aren’t yet the polished folk heroes they’d become, Boss Hogg is more villain than lovable buffoon, and Roscoe is still sharp enough to feel genuinely dangerous. This isn’t the Dukes you grew up with, but it is the Dukes as they were originally imagined.

The guys dive into what makes this episode such an important foundation. The storytelling is raw, the characters are still finding themselves, and the General Lee hasn’t yet become the fully formed legend we all know. But see past the rough edges and you can feel the blueprint taking shape. This episode establishes the tone, the family code, and the outlaw logic that would define the series.
One of the most iconic moments in Dukes history also lives right here. The famous jump over Sheriff Roscoe’s car—used in the opening credits of nearly every episode that followed—comes straight from this pilot. That single shot would become visual shorthand for the entire series, and it all starts here. It’s nostalgia in its purest form, and even with its imperfections, it doesn’t get much better than watching the legend being born in real time.
