Fueled by Holley Performance Products!

Phase Four of the Kibbe & Friends Show is officially underway, and we couldn’t do it without Holley Performance Products — the biggest and fastest speed parts company in the world. From carburetors to fuel injection, ignition, exhaust, and beyond, Holley has been making cars quicker, stronger, and more reliable for generations — and they’re still pushing performance forward every single day.

We’re proud to continue our partnership with a name that defines speed, innovation, and American performance culture. Head to Holley.com for your speed parts needs, and make sure to thank them for returning as the Title Sponsor of the Kibbe & Friends Show. More power, more fun, and yes… more flying orange Chargers.

We started this episode a little earlier than usual, and that’s on me and on life — but mostly on Bernie slipping on the ice while hauling firewood and breaking his arm. Yes, producer Bernie McPartland is currently operating as the One-Armed Wonder, complete with a cast, surgery scheduled, and a very real reduction in editing speed. We had some fun with it (because of course we did), but in all seriousness, it was one of those reminders that real life doesn’t stop just because you have a show to do. Bernie powered through, as he always does, and somehow his timing and delivery didn’t miss a beat — even if his wrist did.

From there we rolled right into one of my favorite recurring segments: the General Lee “Frankenstein” review. This time it was a personalized orange Charger making the rounds online, complete with a new name, non-standard graphics, and some creative liberties that definitely got Corndog’s attention. We broke it down honestly and fairly — what works, what doesn’t, what it would take to bring it back to proper Dukes form — while sticking to our long-standing philosophy: it’s your car, enjoy it, but if you’re calling it a General Lee, accuracy matters. We also talked real-world Charger values, paint realities, and what a solid second-gen Charger is actually worth these days.

Bernie then took over for Bernie on the News, delivering exactly what that segment is supposed to be: part automotive headlines, part pop culture, and part complete left turn. We covered Tesla ending production of the Model S and X, an IndyCar race potentially coming to Washington, D.C., the Fast & Furious franchise officially announcing Fast Forever, and a handful of February birthdays and historical moments that make you feel old whether you want to or not. It’s always a little chaotic, occasionally educational, and somehow the perfect bridge between the banter and diving headfirst into our Dukes of Hazzard review.

The Dukes Of Hazzard – Episode Review:
“Repo Men” S01E04

This episode is a full-strength return to what Phase 4 is built for: a Dukes of Hazzard deep-dive that’s equal parts car-nerd, stunt-nerd, and “why is this so good?” The guys kick things off with a little real-life chaos (Bernie’s ice wipeout + upcoming surgery), then settle into the comfort food of early-season Dukes—simple story, big laughs, and killer car moments.

The main event is the Season 1, Episode 4 review: “Repo Men”—and everyone’s on the same page right away: this is prime Georgia-era Dukes. The plot is classic Hazzard ridiculous: Boss Hogg wants a fancy Rolls-Royce for Lulu, a crooked dealer (Ace Parker) ropes Bo and Luke into a repo job, and it turns into counterfeiters, chaos, and payback. But what the guys really love is how “early Dukes” still feels grounded—Waylon setting the table, the characters clicking, and the stunts doing the heavy lifting without the story getting in the way.

Corndog is in his happy place here, because the episode is loaded with General Lee details: the window-up driving (rare!), the “race car on the dirt track circuit” narration, and the deep-cut car-spotting that only this show does. They call out the specific Georgia-era quirks—like the ’68 tells (the high “01” placement), dash differences, and even goofy stuff like the “fake roll bar” occasionally shifting around when the boys climb in. It’s the kind of episode where their chemistry is as fun as the TV episode’s chemistry—Corndog drilling into accuracy, and Bernie loving that the Georgia episodes are “simple” in the best way.

Then it hits the centerpiece for hardcore fans: the “wrecked Richard Petty race car” angle—because that car is tied to the infamous General Lee lore, including the restoration story and the collector-world debate. They even talk about the Barrett-Jackson moment, the car’s celebrity ownership history (including Bubba Watson), and why this episode still matters if you’re into the “how much of a car is still the car?” conversation. It’s one of those rare K&F reviews where the episode becomes a springboard into real enthusiast history—without losing the fun.

And because it’s Repo Men, the guys also get to enjoy the gloriously unhinged finale: Cooter’s car-crusher joy, the mobsters getting their cars “can-opened,” and the Rolls getting flattened into a little square trophy—with the grill saved like a punchline. The running jokes land too: CB “trucker trash talk,” the absolute used-car-salesman villain energy from Ace Parker, and the episode’s “we’re going to punish everyone and somehow still be fine” logic that only Hazzard County can pull off.

By the end, it’s a clean sweep: 10s across the board— I upgrade my original 9 to a 10, Corndog’s a firm 10 (Georgia episodes always win for him), and Bernie lands at 10 once I do. The final verdict: this is one of the best “early Dukes” rewatches you can do, and it’s exactly the kind of episode Phase 4 was made to put on YouTube.
