K&F Show Summary: 

Bo and Luke get conned – accidentally – by Cooter – into driving for a bad guy that’s being watched by the stage police, and possibly the feds. What’s he being watched for you ask? Human trafficking? Meth manufacturing and distribution? Ponzi schemes designed to keep little old ladies out of the old folks home and living in the gutter? No….none of those….he’s doing something far worse. This piece of human scum…..is selling…..stolen racing engines! He hides these sweet engines in demo derby cars to transport them out of the county and state, which keeps the feds easily at bay.

Bo and Luke get accused of being a part of it….and they have to drive demo derby cars as a result. And we dear viewers get treated to the sloppy General lee preparation that we love most in this early seasons, including the General Lee I love most – the one they pull up in the race track in. Paul Baxley brings in outstanding camera shots and jumps that would win him an Oscar today, and all is right with the world. 14-inch vectors for everyone!

Anyway, this is the one where Bo and Luke accidentally pick up a water heater that’s really a giant box of marijuana meant for a crime Lord (that old chestnut). In 1980, that meant sexy private detectives in a convertible Trans Am were comin’ after you! It also meant that in 1980 the Dukes of Hazzard had so much juice that this was the SECOND time a new spinoff plot would be introduced in an episode. The Dukes partner up with the detectives, take down the bad guys, right the wrongs, wear the tight jeans, climb the mountains in short shorts, and all’s right with the world. Except the spinoff. Didn’t happen. Thought it was no fault of those jeans. 8.5 Corndogs.

Holley Performance puts on some amazing events that people look forward to every year, all of which kicked off with the “OG” event called LS Fest. At that event any vehicle that had a General Motors LS engine was allowed, regardless of make, model, creed, color, or religion! Other events soon followed including LS Fest West in Las Vegas and this year LS Fest Texas at the Texas Motor Speedway!

Luckily for us we were able to send out the dynamic duo of Producer Bernie McPartland and YouTube star and performance vehicle magician Cody Young from Cody Crafted. More importantly than all that, he’s LOVES to make hilariously fun automobile projects with his friends and share them with the world. That’s the subject of today’s discussion!
