The Tommy Boy 30th Anniversary Special!
In honor of the 30th Anniversary of our favorite car movie Tommy Boy, we have decided to do another deep dive on the movie that put two Saturday Night Live office-mates onto the big screen together. The new 4K movie came out recently, and even better, movie director Peter Segal had one of the original Tommy Boy cars restored! He’ll be showing it this weekend at the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals (MCACN) 2025, in fact!
So….with that said, we have a whole new litany of Tommy Boy facts and insights for you, Bernie’s famous news and weather segments, and Corndog’s understanding of Satellites faked out as GTX’s. And then we did what you think we did….we re-ran our original review of the show from Episode 126!
Friends, prepare to enjoy a review if what is quite possibly the greatest road-trip movie ever made: Tommy Boy! Chris Farley and David Spade play (basically) themselves in this odd-couple MOPAR trip that saves the employees of Callahan Auto – and the town of Sandusky, OH itself – from the inevitable corporate takeover bearing down upon it. Chances are you have this movie memorized inside and out already. If you don’t, take a dump in a box and mark it guaranteed because you apparently have spare time. PERFECT 10 CORNDOG RATING.
