Dallas Kibbe Racing Heads to Charlotte Summer Shootout & HPX for a Huge Summer Season
Dallas Kibbe Racing is gearing up for one of its biggest summers yet as Dallas prepares to compete in the Charlotte Summer Shootout at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Running Legends cars multiple nights a week throughout June and July, the schedule marks a major step forward as the team continues pushing toward higher levels of competition. Rob also shared that Dallas will make select Late Model starts during the summer, including an upcoming debut at Orange County Speedway in North Carolina.
The conversation highlighted the reality of balancing racing, travel, family life, and production schedules as Rob prepares to split time between Iowa and North Carolina throughout the season. The guys discussed the logistical challenges ahead while also reflecting on how quickly Dallas’ racing career continues to progress from local competition into larger national-level opportunities.

The summer racing push also ties directly into the upcoming High Performance Expo (HPX), taking place June 2–4 in Charlotte, North Carolina. Rob explained that Dallas will be attending the event to sit in on industry classes, meet teams and manufacturers, and continue learning the business side of motorsports. With major racing organizations, aftermarket companies, and performance industry leaders all attending HPX, the event serves as another important opportunity for Dallas Kibbe Racing to grow both on and off the track.

The Dukes Of Hazzard – Episode Review:
“Deputy Dukes” S01E10

Kibbe & Friends returns to Hazzard County for another classic Dukes of Hazzard review, this time revisiting Season 1 Episode 10, “Deputy Dukes.” Originally reviewed nearly a decade ago during the early Kibbe and Finnegan days, Rob Kibbe, Corndog, and Bernie McPartland finally circle back to give the episode a fresh look with new perspective and plenty of modern commentary.
The episode centers around Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane getting suspended yet again, opening the door for Bo and Luke Duke to temporarily become deputies in Hazzard County. Of course, while the Duke boys genuinely try to help people and do the job the right way, Boss Hogg immediately begins manipulating the situation for his own crooked gain. The guys discuss how much fun it is seeing Bo and Luke trying to balance doing good while still operating inside Boss Hogg’s corrupt version of the law.
One of the biggest highlights of this episode is the appearance of actress Stella Parton — Dolly Parton’s younger sister — whose voice is almost shockingly similar to Dolly’s. The crew spends time discussing how unmistakable the resemblance is, especially the southern accent and vocal tone that instantly makes viewers think of Dolly the moment she begins speaking. Her appearance adds another layer of charm and authenticity to the early-season feel of the show and becomes one of the episode’s most memorable surprises.

The review also highlights the grounded tone of the early Dukes episodes compared to the later years of the series. The patrol cars, chase scenes, dirt roads, and smaller-scale storytelling all help “Deputy Dukes” feel more like a southern action comedy than the more cartoonish style the show would eventually become known for. The guys especially enjoyed Rosco’s frustration over being replaced and the chemistry between the Duke family and the Hazzard County law enforcement crew.
As always, the conversation drifts into behind-the-scenes trivia, automotive details, and the overall evolution of the series during its first season. Rob, Corndog, and Bernie all agree that “Deputy Dukes” captures the rough-around-the-edges charm that made the earliest episodes of The Dukes of Hazzard feel unique and helped establish the personalities that fans still love decades later.
