Kibbe and Friends
Welcome to the official Kibbe and Friends Show with Rob Kibbe, Justin “Corndog” Cornette, and producer Bernie McPartland! With this show, we’re basically setting up the Boar’s Nest for the entire automotive media world to swing through—for a couple of watered-down beers, stale popcorn, and some fantastic waitresses.
You can find every episode here on The MuscleCar Place, as well as on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, iHeartRadio, Pandora, and YouTube Music. From time to time we also post video clips and full shows on
The Kibbe and Friends YouTube channel. Click the “Download” link at the top of this post to stream directly to your phone, or subscribe via the

The latest Kibbe and Friends opens October with equal parts adrenaline and emotion. Rob, Corndog, and Bernie kick things off as SEMA looms just a month away, but the headline is Dallas Kibbe’s wild three-day run at Wisconsin’s Jefferson Speedway. Friday night delivered a breakthrough: Dallas scored his first win away from home, nailing every choose-cone call and timing each restart perfectly. It was the kind of flag-to-flag drive that makes a racer believe, “I can do this anywhere.”
Saturday, though, turned into the other side of racing. Hard elbows, tangled wheels, and finally a heavy hit left the Legends car likely totaled. The crucial news: Dallas is OK! The logistics? Less rosy. Vegas Asphalt Nationals are just weeks out, and the backup car won’t cut it at that level. The scramble is on for a competitive replacement or a miracle rebuild, and the crew is blunt about the time, money, and sleepless nights that will take.

Away from the track, Rob’s weekend veered from mildly cursed to oddly charming: bank-card fraud, a stubborn 944 speedo, and a broken seat lever—offset by the perfect greasy smash burger that somehow fixes your soul. Bernie’s news run (presented by National Parts Depot) hits everything from Bosch’s job cuts to the gripes that modern car “features” cause (daytime running lights and multi-function controls, we’re looking at you). “There’s also a motorsports gem—Ida Zetterström clocked a perfect .000 reaction time in Top Fuel versus Tony Stewart—and, separately, a Route 66–themed ‘Pavement Pounder’ road trip that lets you drive to SEMA with badges and Semafest perks included.”
Rob also tees up an Ask Rick crossover for The MuscleCar Place: a Bob Lutz sound bite on the long-term inevitability of EVs, with Rick Schmidt ready to weigh in. Agree or disagree, it’s the kind of industry-level conversation that’s catnip for anyone who follows where enthusiast culture, regulation, and tech are actually headed.

Dukes of Hazzard REVIEW
For the TV time capsule, the guys review Dukes of Hazzard “State of the County.” Daisy falls fast for a drifter with a suspicious hobby (explosives), Boss Hogg meets a rival in Boss J.W. Hickman, and car chases snake through leaf-strewn backroads in all the right ways. The kicker? Hickman is played by Larry D. Mann—the voice of Yukon Cornelius from the 1964 Rudolph special—which somehow makes every line more fun. Between a clean ski-stunt, a pipe-ramp flip, and a surprise Oak Ridge Boys cameo, the verdict lands around six to seven Corn Dogs: not the biggest stunt count, but big on charm.
There’s more inside: fresh Patreon shout-outs, a Holley sale pick that might de-annoy your daily, and a few behind-the-scenes moments you’ll only catch in the full show. Want the play-by-play of how Dallas stole that Friday win, what really triggered Saturday’s chaos, and the plan to make Vegas happen anyway? Hit play and ride along—there’s plenty we didn’t spoil.
