Happy Gilmore – ’74 Duster to the rescue! Image: Universal Pictures

Road Trip Movie Review:

“Happy Gilmore”

K&F Show Summary:

Movie Review: In honor of the upcoming Masters Tournament we bring you our review of the best automotive golf move starring Adam Sandler known to man; Happy Gilmore. Think of it like Billy Madison, but it’s about golf, has Apollo Creed in it, and stars a ’74 Duster with a sweet aftermarket sunroof!

Happy Gilmore is a man who wished he was a hockey player and who was raised by his grandmother after his mother ran out of him and his dad was killed by an errant hockey puck. While his hockey dream would never become a reality, the slapshot he mastered would help him to become a long drive golf hero of the common man. It would also somehow get him beat up by Bob Barker, host of “The Price is Right!”

Aside from the slapstick humor, this also gave us the chance to do a deep dive on A-Body MOPARS and investigate the magic “1973 and newer” front disc brake swap phenomenon that changed MOPAR humanity as we know it. All credit goes to Happy!

10 Corndogs!
