K&F Show #104: Dukes of Hazzard Review: S4E15 “The Sound of Music, Hazzard Style”

Ding ding ding! Thanks to your realization of that this show runs on your purchase of a a clean, close, and affordable shave our favorite razor company of all time is back! That’s right – a podcast about flying orange cars and bathroom jokes can actually thrive just by buying a really great razor set. America!! Dukes Review: Mickey Gilley comes to Hazzard and Boss Hogg has a couple of bad guys record the concert so he can illegally sell the recordings for cheap, but at a profit to him. Remember Sean Parker and Napster? Well – folklore state that this very episode may be where he got the idea. Anyway, Bo and Luke get framed for it, run from (and then work with) the FBI, and everything is later fine. It turns out one of the bad guys was also in the super-long farting scene from Blazing Saddles so just for that we give this a higher grade than we should: 7 out of 10 Corndogs.

This is it! After almost 3 years of the K&F show we are IMMENSELY proud to present our feature guest – Tom Wopat himself! There’s something for everyone in here – and plenty of Dukes insight as well.

Be sure to follow Tom’s schedule to see a live musical for celebrity appearance via www.TomWopat.com. Special thanks for the MuscleKingz and the GoodOlBoysTour for arranging this interview in celebration of 40 years of the Dukes of Hazzard!

K&F Show #101: Fun Hate Mail Plus a Review of the Dukes: S4E14 “The Dukescam Scam”

Guess what? Thanks to you our favorite razor company of all time is back! Harry’s Razors. Want to give it a try, and support the show? Claim your FREE TRIAL and go to http://Harrys.com/KAFS right now!

Dukes Review: This is the classic tale of Boss Hogg being jailed for robbing his own bank as a trick to get Jesse to bail him out using the Duke Farm as collateral. Why? Because 40 years prior when Jesse and Boss were moonshiners, Boss helped Jesse out of a jam. This leads to Boss eating a lot of raw liver, the General jumping a pong about 50 times, and a salvation moment inside an air-starved bank vault. FYI – there is an alarming lack of Daisy walking around in shorts in this one. 8 out of 10 Corndogs.

Patreon Peeps, our Jan and Feb swag packs have finally been sent! Thanks for your patience. We’ll also be recording our next show soon to so get your questions ready for Kibbe, Corndog, and Bernie. K&F Show #100: Finnegan’s Return; Feature Interview with Byron Cherry (Coy Duke)!

MeUndies are back! Thank God, They’re back. And they’re back for the most underwear centric holiday known to exist to man: Valentine’s Day! That’s right, this is the one time of year she’s planning on you to buy her undies. So go for it and get her the ones you want her to have. And, they’ll be releasing new Valentine’s Day prints between now and the heartfelt holiday every Tuesday too. That means you and your loved one can chill in matching prints for V-Day and play the game of “how long can we keep these on?” The loser is usually the winner. 😉  To get 15% off your first pair, free shipping, AND their 100% Satisfaction Guarantee and get the best and softest underwear you will ever own, go to MeUndies.com/kafs!

Finnegan’s Return! Guess who’s back to stay? Well…..nobody, but I did ask Mike back on to visit for Show #100 – and he regaled in the full story of his win against Hoonigan’s own Jon Chase at the NHRA Winter Nationals. And then I made he and Corndog play a somewhat inappropriate game of who has made out at the Top 10 Most Common make-out-session locations. It’ll make more sense when you hear it. It’s Valentine’s week, right?

Feature Interview: Byron Cherry – Coy Duke! We had the great opportunity to interview Byron Cherry, the actor who portrayed Coy Duke for 19 episodes of The Dukes of Hazzard in Season 5 of the series! Many of us as fans of the show have heard the tales regarding the departure and return of John Schneider and Tom Wopat to the show, but the story for Byron Cherry (and his co-star Chris Mayer) is one that the full truth may not have been shared. Listen in to hear his story of getting the opportunity as a young actor to play a leading-man role on the biggest TV series in the world!

Patreon Peeps, our Jan and Feb swag packs have finally been sent! Thanks for your patience. We’ll also be recording our next show soon to so get your questions ready for Kibbe, Corndog, and Bernie. K&F #99 Bonus: Byron Cherry Interview Preview – Corndog’s First Map of All Remaining “Real” General Lee’s!

We are in between show recordings, so in an effort to aid mankind in more Dukes of Hazzard inside baseball knowledge….here’s a bonus show for you!

Up first is our preview interview with Byron Cherry, who portrayed Coy Duke himself. Ever wonder how he got the part, or whether Warner Bros told him it was just temporary, or whether John Schneider and Tom Wopat talked to him about it? Well…this preview should stoke the fires a little.

Following that, be prepared to be amazed by the mind of Corndog. In this you will hear is VERY FIRST interview on The MuscleCar Place, an interview he did after I hunted him down after massive amounts of internet stalking. You’ll hear his detailed account of all of the remaining “real General Lee’s” he was aware of at that time great detail. This is also where our friendship began, predates even the Kibbe and Finnegan show! Who knows – this may have been the spark that lit the fuse of the very show we have today. And I got a GL out of it too. 😉

K&F Show #99: Corndog’s ’69 Charger Movie Review Pick: Dirty Mary Crazy Larry

Guess what? Thanks to you our favorite razor company of all time is back! Harry’s Razors. Want to give it a try, and support the show? Claim your FREE TRIAL and go to http://Harrys.com/KAFS right now!

Movie Review: Dirty Mary Crazy Larry. In the mind of Corndog, this movie is the ’69 Charger movie of movies. I think he’d even rather have a DMCL (screen used) Charger than a screen used General Lee. He’s crazy, because this super weird 1974 box office smash starring Peter Fonda is a wacked-out example of what happens when directors and actors all use drugs while making a movie. The only redeeming thing is the stunts and the Charger. Al Wyatt, Jr is in it though, so maybe this is where he and the Charger first melded together to form the most dynamic duo ever on automotive cinematic history. Watch it for the car stunts and the helicopter flying and skip the rest. (Editor’s Note: Kibbe is the only one of the three of us that feel this way, but since he’s the guy that types this stuff up his opinion is what counts the most, apparently. He is also reconsidering his opinion on the Finnegan forced movie review of Megaforce. https://themusclecarplace.com/kf-show-36)

Patreon Peeps, our January swag pack has been sent and we’ll be recording our next show soon! This one is a deep dive on Corndog’s DMCL replica Charge – plus any questions you have always wanted to know the deep dark secret to. Get your questions in to robert@themusclecarplace.com. K&F Show #98: Dukes of Hazzard Review – S4E13: Hughie Hogg Strikes Again

So, the main plot line in this episode is that Hughie Hoog is back to d bad things, but what you really need to know is that this episode marks the return of the small pushbar General Lee!  And…after this episode it will disappear again. This episode was aired out of order from filming, thus the hullaballoo. Anyway, here’s the show summary: Master of disguise Hughie Hogg is back, with a scheme to help Uncle Boss take over Cooter’s garage to build his long dreamed of Hoggominimiums. The only problem? He has to force Cooter to default on his second mortgage payment so that he can immediately foreclose. The deviousness of it all. And Cooter – being the only mechanic in town – is rolling in work opportunity. So Boss gets Hughie to trick Cooter into jail, thereby leaving the Dukes to solve all the problems and right the wrongs. Hughie does the whole thing using multiple disguises and a class C motorhome with a Dodge running gear of course, and a bees nest is involved at the end. Bees make honey, and honey is something Bears like to eat. Bears, Beets, Battlestar Galactica.

Patreon Peeps, our January swag pack is on the way! If you updated your address after Christmas, we got it and it’s on the way. if you missed it, add it in and we’ll catch you about St Patty’s Day. We’ll also be recording our next show soon too sp get your questions ready for Kibbe, Corndog, and Bernie. K&F Show #97: The Official Launch of Kibbe and Friends…with a Feature Interview by Cooter Himself: Ben Jones!

Welcome to the official launch of the Kibbe and Friends Show with myself, Justin “Corndog” Cornette, and Show Producer Bernie McPartland! How can we be launching a brand new show on it’s 97th episode, you ask? Excellent question. The Kibbe and Friends show is effectively the second phase of what originally started as the Kibbe and Finnegan Show (which got it’s start as just a segment on yet a different show) and show #97 is the next one in the cue. Our approach is akin to how Colonel Potter replaced Henry Blake on M*A*S*H than how Coy and Vance replaced Bo and Luke on the Dukes. But, since we’re continuing the show format of cars, pop culture, news(ish), and Dukes of Hazzard reviews it only seemed fitting to keep the train rolling…which is why we’re starting in on #97. Plus Finnegan will be on every now and then still as well as other fun friends you’ll want to hear from too. With this show we’re basically setting up the Boars Nets for the entire automotive media world to swing through for a couple watered down beers, stale popcorn, and fantastic waitresses.

Believe it or not, but our first show out of the gate is with Ben Jones (aka Cooter Davenport) himself!

Patreon Listeners: the all new Kibbe and Friends edition of the show – with Kibbe, Corndog, and Bernie has debuted – and thank you so much to the multitude of you who have joined in, stepped up your pledge, and have (basically) made it known that you wanted us to keep going and growing. We’re still in, and it’s our goal to make Patreon the place in 2019 far more than ever before. To get in on the action and support the show with a minor financial contribution just click the link below to sign up and get started! We have $2, $5 , and $10 monthly options available. You ROCK!

For those of you that genuinely wanted some Kibbe and Finnegan merch….you are in total luck. We had absolutely zero time to get the logo switch made, so as of this very second…the old Kibbe and Finnegan “jump car” shirt is still available for the taking. As soon as we have the logo switch complete, we’ll pull this off the market except for special occasion, such as the 4th of July, SEMA, and National Floorlamp Appreciate Day.  Visit KFSHOWSHIRTS.com to peruse for yours today.

K&F Show #96: Finnegan’s Last Show; Dukes of Hazzard Review: “Happy Birthday General Lee” – S7 Episode 1

It’s Christmas, and if you aren’t wearing MicroModal fabric next to your most of delicate nether region, you’re robbing yourself. If your downstairs could file a formal complaint, it would. BUT, fear not for we bring you tidings of great joy – and it shall come in fun undies with Christmas prints too! Just head to MeUndies.com/kafs and pick out a holiday treat for yourself early! Guaranteed for fun, fashion, and comfiness or your money back. Plus, it helps our show! To get 15% off your first pair, free shipping, AND their 100% Satisfaction Guarantee and get the best and softest underwear you will ever own, go to MeUndies.com/kafs!

This is it; the one where we learn why, when, and how the General Lee came to the Dukes! Even better – we get to see him be built from an old junkyard wreck (which was clearly a former jump car). Ironically, this is the Dukes of Hazzard episode that Finnegan and I to start our own podcast about the Dukes of Hazzard together…so it’s fitting that we decided to end it here. Anyway, here’s the gist of it; this entire episode is a trip down memory lane for the Duke clan as they throw a birthday party for the General Lee. Only the “date of birth” references the day the General himself was created by the Dukes, not the day the Charger rolled off of the Dodge assembly line. It’s set 8 years in the past where Boss Hogg was skinny with hair, Rosco has a Burt Reynolds mustache, Daisy didn’t work at the Boars Nest, and before Bo and Luke knew that cars could safely fly. And there are bad guys in it, one of which has been a different bad guy two different times in the past too. The biggest thing of all though is that prior to the Dukes, the General was just a soulless Charger. It wasn’t until the Dukes found it – and vice versa – that all their lives changed for the better!

The all new Kibbe and Friends edition of the show – with Kibbe, Corndog, and Bernie will debut THIS MONTH! We have received more support from fans that we could have imagined! Frankly, it’s the only reason we decided to keep going at all. To get in on the action and support the show with a minor financial contribution just click the link below to sign up and get started! We have $1, $2, $5 , and $10 monthly options available.. By far, the $5 is the biggest winner so far! And as always – YOU ROCK! http://www.patreon.com/kfshow

Yes, it’s true. Mike is leaving as full time show co-host at the end of the year. We’ll miss him too, but if you would like a Kibbe and Finnegan shirt or hoodie you still have time to make it happen!
