Guess what? We have a new shirt…and it features an actual jumping car and everything! If you would like to support the show in a really tangible way (i.e. to buy something), please consider purchasing one. We chose the best American Apparel super-cuddly shirt as the base, and the design is a one-off by our own pal Kirk. Visit KFSHOWSHIRTS.COM to pick one up!

Dukes Review – S4E4: “Coltrane Vs. Duke”
Rosco is very very very funny in this episode. That’s basically the entire episode because not a lot else is super memorable. It’s the age-old tale of a fake breaking-of-every-bone-in-Rosco’s-body-to-steal-the-Duke-farm that you’ve heard time and time again, and it’s both predictable and happy too. There’s one super awesome stunt that Tom Wopat does running along side the General. Otherwise, bring on the next episode. 6 corndogs.

Season 4 – Episode 4: “Coltrane vs Duke”
Written by Simon Munter
Directed by Don McDougall
Original Airdate: 10/31/1981
Corndog’s Insider Dukes of Hazzard Episode Specific Nerd Trivia:
Another typical Dukes of Hazzard storyline… the Dukes wait until the very last second to pay their mortgage… or in the case of this episode, their taxes… and Boss Hogg is anxiously waiting for them to be late on their payment so that he can take procession of their farm… and sell it for a huge profit. So Boss Hogg puts together the perfect scheme to pull it off. This episode has a few good jumps (some of which were recycled footage), but my favorite part in this episode was Rosco. All of his one-liners, calling the doctor a quack… and the way he said “Fee-Fi-Fo-Fumb”… he had me cracking up. The really wasn’t much to pull from this episode, but I did have a few…
4:49 – At the beginning of the episode, after Bo and Luke give Boss Hogg the money and come running out of the courthouse. As they climb into the General Lee, watch carefully how they do it. Luke gets in the car first, hits the ignition, and as Bo climbs in, he throws the shifter in gear, and they pull off. Like clockwork
27:00 -When the Duke boys are waiting out side of the house for the doctor to deliver the babies, there is a great shot of the General Lee. On thing that I noticed was the car is running 7in wheels up front and 8in wheels on the rear.
43:24 – When the judge is leaving the diner, and the the camera cuts to the Duke boys in the General, this is clearly a ’68 Charger… you can easily see the fake ’69 center section that is attached to the center of the ’68 grille… along with the pointed ’68 dash and smoothed over fenders.
I give this episode a 7
Also, this isn’t really related to this specific episode, but I thought it was an interesting little fact.
As you know, I went to a family reunion last weekend. Our family is from a small town, Greenville, KY… which is where I was born (before moving to GA). There is another small town that borders Greenville called Powderly, KY. James Best was born in Powderly. The main strip that goes through Powderly is called “James Best Highway” and there is a sign on the edge of town with his picture saying “Home of……”.
Last time I saw James, I told him that was from Greenville and he thought that was so cool… because there aren’t too many people who even know where Greenville/Powderly are. Just thought it was a neat little tid-bit.

Dream Board Update: Goals to Accomplish Before Episode 200
1. Get Diet Coke to Sponsor us….or just Kibbe. FAILED
2. Be characters in the Disney/Pixar movie, Cars 3. Finnegan is the General. Kibbe…is wishing he was the General. FAILED.
3. Syndicate the show onto TV and radio, having awesome guests in studio, with Dale Earnhardt Jr. on regularly to be our best friend.
4. Get John Schneider himself on the show with us. Pray to God he actually likes us and isn’t freaked out. FAILED
5. Blow up the podcast so that it becomes a regular weekly show, interviewing celebrities, and actually providing a living for us capable of allowing us to race cars anytime we want plus let our wives get the shoes they like.
6. Get our own studio.
7. We each get a General Lee (real car – not a toy). Kibbe has one!
8. Get a Voiceover Guy to announce the segments.
9. Jump a car together. Kibbe wants to go 30-feet vertical.
10. Make a Dream GL that is based off of a 1973 NASCAR Charger (like the 1/16th scale AMT model)
11. Kibbe needs a new wallet to replace his “George Costanza”.
12. Mike to get a new truck for legit towing. DONE!
