Welcome to Episode #49 of the Kibbe and Finnegan show! If you’re new to the show, Mike Finnegan and I have taken our Dukes of Hazzard fandom and turned it into a full fledged automotive podcast Gong Show of sorts, completed with a full episode review from The Dukes of Hazzard. It’s every 40-year-old’s dream, right?
FOLLOW IS ON Instagram and Facebook too!
You can find every episode here on The MuscleCar Place and iTunes and Google Play, and from time to time we’ll also be posting video clips and (and even) full shows to Finnegan’s Garage on YouTube. If you click the “Download” link at the top of this post you’ll be able to stream it on your phone directly. You can also pull the RSS feed as well.
If you like the show…for the love of all that’s holy, share it with your buddies and tag your favorite companies on Instagram with #SponsorKibbeandFinnegan! It may be a lame, but we’re not above it.
We’ll be adding in a live show stream in the future – so be sure to follow us online for notice of when that will be happening. Look for this show to publish twice monthly here (or maybe even MORE often), in iTunes, and on Finnegan’s YouTube channel! You can also sign up to win future prizes and get show notifications by visiting http://www.kfshowgiveaway.com to sign up. You’ll get a follow up e-mail that confirms you’re not a robot, and once you’ve clicked the acceptance link you’re done. That’s it!

Post SEMA Witty Banter: Dukes vs Movie Battle
OK. Remember the battle between people that liked the Witty Banter more than the Dukes reviews? That came down to a 50-50 split to keep both as is. Message received: keep it like it is and don’t screw up the show format! Now the battle is (kinda) between people that want all Dukes reviews vs. those that want more movies. The movie request list is getting long. All I know is, we’re doing Planes Trains and Automobiles for Thanksgiving because there’s no Dukes Thanksgiving episode anyway.

Dukes of Hazzard S3E10: Good Neighbors, Duke
K&F Show Summary:
OK. Here’s the deal. This is a solid enough episode and if Dukes comfort food is what you’re after, it’s aces. The thing is….that’s all it is. They can’t all be a great one like a Jude Emery, a Carnival of Thrills, or a Double Dukes. Even Corndog mailed this one in. Anyway, a father and daughter come to Hazzard in the witness protection program. Bounty hunters are after them thinking they’ll recover some stolen diamonds or something. Then the General Lee jumps and Bo and Luke fake the death of the father and daughter to get the bad guys off of their backs for good. The end.
Legit Show Info:
Season 3 – Episode 10 “Good Neighbors, Duke”
Airdate: 1/2/1981
Written By: Len Kaufman
Directed Buy: Dick Moder
Corndog’s Super Insider Analysis:
I’ve watched the episode and pulled some screen shots, but would you believe that I’ve got nothing on “insider info”? It’s a pretty good episode. It’s just a regular run-of-the-mill episode. Simple storyline, one big jump, just not a lot else to pull from.
For the Generals used in this episode, there was one Stage car, looks like two 1st units in driving scenes, and at least three 2nd unit cars used – with one of those being jumped. Another did a soft jump and would have gone on to continue use.
I have noticed that the stage car has the RadioShack/Archer 21-940A CB antenna, which has a round magnetic base… instead of the regular RadioShack/Archer 21-908A teardrop Antenna.
The teardrop clips over the front edge of the decklid and uses two Allen set screws
There are only just a couple times that you see the round magnetic antenna used on the series. Over the last few episodes, it has been on the stage car.
They also hold the prop license plate a lot on this episode. This one is a metal plate, but you’re able to see front and back on it pretty good.

Dream Board Update: Goals to Accomplish Before Episode 200
1. Get Diet Coke to Sponsor us….or just Kibbe. FAILED
2. Be characters in the Disney/Pixar movie, Cars 3. Finnegan is the General. Kibbe…is wishing he was the General. FAILED.
3. Syndicate the show onto TV and radio, having awesome guests in studio, with Dale Earnhardt Jr. on regularly to be our best friend.
4. Get John Schneider himself on the show with us. Pray to God he actually likes us and isn’t freaked out.
5. Blow up the podcast so that it becomes a regular weekly show, interviewing celebrities, and actually providing a living for us capable of allowing us to race cars anytime we want plus let our wives get the shoes they like.
6. Get our own studio.
7. We each get a General Lee (real car – not a toy).
8. Get a Voiceover Guy to announce the segments.
9. Jump a car together. Kibbe wants to go 30-feet vertical.
10. Make a Dream GL that is based off of a 1973 NASCAR Charger (like the 1/16th scale AMT model)
11. Kibbe needs a new wallet to replace his “George Costanza”.
12. Mike to get a new truck for legit towing. DONE!
