Welcome to the official Kibbe and Friends Show with myself, Justin “Corndog” Cornette, and Show Producer Bernie McPartland! California Dukes Adventures with Dave Stitzinger!
Thanks to an introduction via Corndog and a recent trip to California, I got the chance to meet with Dave Stitzinger and tour the Valencia filming location (Season 5-7 of the Dukes) and see a few pieces of his amazing Dukes collection. What a guy! He has a heart for the show and a knack for finding cool pieces that have an incredible backstory. His replica General Lee has been used by Jay Leno and Jimmy Kimmel and (today) is sitting at Melody Ranch in the Valuzet museum.
Dave suggested a future California Dukes event….and we all agree that it’s overdue. Maybe this should be our 2023 event! Be sure to check out Dave’s website at https://dukesonline.com.
The John Hughes Movie Car Spectacular!
K&F Show Summary:
Kibbe created the criteria for all of this, so if a major one got missed or you disagree with the reasoning it’s his fault. First, the movie has to be well known. It has to have been released within his lifetime. He could have written it, directed it, or both. Most importantly there has to be a car that you instantly identify with that movie or that someone would be wacky enough to make a replica of!
