KF Movie Summary: This is like when you read the ingredients for a new dish you’re interested in….and all the ingredients are perfect. Peanut butter. Bacon. Chocolate. Fancy Cheese. And then you eat it….and you can taste some of the good things in there, but the combined end product – which should be good….is not good. It’s not bad. But it’s definitely not good. Tommy Boy has mostly the same ingredients and it’s amazing. This one should not make a Michelin book. Chris Farley is the Roger Clinton to Tim Matheson in this movie, the idiot brother of an up and coming politician running for Governor. Dave Spade is a nerdy worker for the governor, assigned to keep Farley out of sight and out of the news. A road trip in a ratted out convertible muscle car ensues until they right the wrongs of voter fraud putting that had placed the wrong politicians into the highest office. There are a few redeeming points and laughs….but this ain’t no Tommy Boy. Rating: 6 Corndogs.

KF Show Summary: If there were one episode – that had THE jump of the General Lee – it would be this one. This is the final episode of Season 1 of the Dukes of Hazzard, and what started just a few months ago as a more redneck version of Smokey and the Bandit has become the car hoppin’ comedy western we all wanted…..with tassels in just the right spots. Hazard County is robbed by the likes of Laurel and Hardy impersonators, done under the ruse of a fake health quarantine of all the government officials by an illness. The illness was supposedly highly dangerous…but in the end was just a case of poison ivy that was totally misdiagnosed, causing the tax payers millions. This episode has it all – comedy – jumps – and well placed tassels. In addition, there are NO scenes that utilize in-car green screen! Rating: 10 Corndogs

K&F Show Movie Review: Happy NASCAR season! The Daytona 500 is this weekend, so that means it’s time to rebroadcast of our review of Days of Thunder from KF Show 137. When you’ve reached perfect once, you gotta own it!
The team that brought you Top Gun, brings you Top Car – better known as Days of Thunder. Both movies feature a wildly talented but undisciplined rebel who is as awesome with driving machinery as he is with the ladies. Both feature a helmet-less motorcycle riding Tom Cruise as the lead who goes through massive success riding his own ego….until his butt can’t cash them when he gets hurt – in one case just mentally, and in the other physically. Both leave him scared to re-engage at the thing he does best…until he basically resolves it in about 20 seconds by realizing….he’d damn well better or his friends were going to die in one case, and in the other they’d just be super bummed they lost the race…and move on with life. Whatever.
Both feature a wise father figure Tom Cruise at first rejects the authority of, then later craves the leadership and approval from. Both have Val Kilmer as Iceman playing the uber talented and more successful nemesis turned friend….except in Days of Thunder it’s Michael Rooker playing Rowdy Burns, both have an amazing failure on the first try to woo the leading lady, and both have a dead goose scene…except in days of thunder it was just a bird run over by a rental car. This is the most perfect racing movie of all however, and even today still is adored by fans – and NASCAR drivers – including the current reigning NASCAR Cup Series Champion who goes by the name of Rowdy Busch…and runs number 51 on his own race cars outside of the Cup Series. This is the movie that proves to get the girls, you gotta go fast, and if you’re from California you’re not really a yankee…you’re not really from anywhere.

Dukes Review: Poor Cleetus makes the mistake of being #MeToo’d by Daisy Dukes, and his heart has to pay the price until she finally confesses to using her sexuality for personal gain. Poor Cleetus. But, love know no boundaries – and just like Cleetus we all have to take the high road and go on to date a bank teller anyway. This episode features Sheriff Little and is the second episode after the shift to the wide push bar General Lee. Also noted in this episode, no-one suffered from food poisoning and was stricken with vomiting and diarrhea for 4 hours straight.

Dukes Review: Somehow, within just a single year of this show starting, we went from being a more racy version of Smokey and the Bandit to a Saturday morning cartoon family fun spectacular. In this episode – NASCAR Royalty Cale Yarborough appears, only to test an illegal turbocharger for NASCAR in a white un-decaled General Lee. Even better, at one point the plot of the episode revolves around 3 General Lee – all being used on screen to cause confusion – all at the same time. The production quality is just like we like it too – crappy. There are painted over side-marker lights, scenes shot out of order, and it’s just so dumb that it’s fun….and that’s the way we like it too!

KF Movie Review: To commemorate our 250th episode we bring you Cannonball Run 2. By today’s standards it’s crass, racist, sexist, and a hilariously offensive automotive escape from reality. Back then though, it just was a crass yet hilarious automotive escape from reality. It stars everyone fun and funny from 1984 as you would expect from Burt Reynolds to Don Knotts to Frank Sinatra. If you liked the first Cannonball Run you’ll love this one….because it’s the same movie. Again. The Rigatoni’s and Fettuccine are in the mob, people pretending to be sheiks only because they have big noses, and John Schneider’s personal Lamborghini Countach makes an appearance with Catherine Bach! The cars are as big as the stars and they do what cars do best: slide and fly. This movie was hated by Siskel and Ebert because they hated movies that don’t make you think. But we don’t need to think. We never did. 10-Stars.

Tom Wopat is here! With our man Corndog gone this week (to do “parenting” stuff) we knew we had to do something big….so we replaced him with Dukes of Hazzard legend Tom Wopat! Well….actually, we after last week’s show we realized that, like Corndog, Tom’s favorite seasons of the Dukes dated back to Season 1 as well for most of the same reasons. So, it seemed only fitting to replay his one and only appearance on our show from 2019 (Episode 102). Tom went from being a farm-kid in Wisconsin dreaming of playing for the Green Bay Packers, to being a lead on Broadway, becoming Luke Duke, and back to Broadway. There’s something for everyone in here – and plenty of Dukes insight as well!
