Dukes Review: We’ve been telling you for years that The Dukes of Hazzard was a modern day Western, just with cars instead of horses. Well – this time – it’s literal. This is the episode of the Dukes in the old west (and by that we mean the South, but that’s harder to explain). If you’re a fan of the Dukes you’ll like this episode. It’s fun. If you’re in it for the car, skip it.
I really think this was yet another Season 7 metaverse episode – like the Waylon visit – where they know it’s tv, we know it’s tv, they know it’s a western, we know it’s a western, and with a wink and a nod they just did the obvious next metaverse move. Frankly, the only thing they didn’t do in this episode was paint a horse orange and put numbers on it.

Movie Review: It may be hard to believe, but despite the fact that we have referenced Dumb & Dumber over a billion times in the history of this show….we have never actually reviewed one of the best movies ever made. Today, that will be rectified. We present for your our review of Dumb and Dumber!
This is a movie that you will love every time you see it, you’ll never get sick of quoting it, and you’ll laugh just as hard every time. My sister loves this movie. My buddies love this movie. If you have ever met someone that thinks this movie is dumb, you need to dust the feet off of your sandals and move on from that wacko – they can’t be saved.
Out of 10 Corndogs, this baby gets a perfect 11.

Dukes Review: There’s a plot. Too much plot, some good shots of the General, a cool jump or two…..and then I forget. The IMDB guy got it mostly right. Daisy gets confused by a hypochondriac mobster for being a nurse because she was in a church play that required extra short nurse outfits. And she switched her book of lines for the play with his book of illegal business and ill gottenness. So there’s that. The General Lee had carbon buildup, which is dumb, backfired, and then the whole episode is dealing with said hypochondriac. Luckily, Corndog found a detail on a GL with a 273 small block and nitrous!

Dukes Review: This is the episode about the haves and have nots; the arrogant and unsatisfied rich against the humble yet content poor. When people reminisce back on The Dukes of Hazzard and say :this was a show you could let your kids watch safely,” this was the literal episode they meant. Horses are used as police cars. Enemies work together to fight and even bigger enemy. There’s a lesson in here about not starting forest fires that’s…helpful. Rosco’s real life daughter is the guest star. I wouldn’t say this one is not good….but I would say it’s not great. Or that good. I miss Season 2. The end.

Corndog’s Summer Vacation: We don’t have a show review for you this month…because our man Corndog spent the previous weekend at John Schneider’s 3rd annual birthday bash. The event was postponed from April until now (due to the COVID-19), but as was the case last year the feature part of the event involved jumping a car – on film – for an upcoming project. John is filming a Smokey and the Bandit tribute movie called “Stand On It” and the star car of that film was a modern Dodge Challenger painted black with a screaming chicken on the hood a “modified” roof to resemble T-Tops. Friend of the show Jamie Smith did the jump with Jack Gill and (as you would expect) Corndog supporting the entire endeavor. Get in line folks. We’ll all be working for Corndog someday. Enjoy!
