Merry Christmas from The MuscleCar Place and have a Happy New Year!

FEATURE INTERVIEW:

Santa and his inconspicuous F Body.

Santa and his inconspicuous F Body.

S. Claus, Esquire

For our final show of the year we had the great pleasure of having on an annual celebrity guest. Our interview was with the big man himself, Père Noël, Kris Kringle, Father Christmas, or otherwise known as, Santa Claus! I’ve had more than a few people wonder how (or perhaps why) we get Santa onto the show each year, and this year proved to be the most interesting setup of all. I am not sure if I stayed on the nice list by the end of the interview as Nick seemed to be a little distracted by all of the holiday activities he is involved with lately.

This marks Santa’s 8th annual appearance on our show and this is apparently Santa’s favorite number. Eight is a recurring number in his life with eight tiny reindeer and eight cylinders in an LS engine (I’m not sure how that applies to a sleigh, but he seemed to think it did). If Santa’s zany hijinks bring you happiness you can go hear all of his previous shows that included in Episode 28, Episode 67, Episode 114, Episode 160,Episode 197 and Episode 233, and Episode 270. As always, in each past episode he was in top form. He was even our featured guest in our gigantic Episode 300 Celebration show recently!

Thanks for the interview, Santa!  Talk to you in 2017!

-Rob Kibbe

p.s. I am attaching some pictures to show the recent homecoming of the latest Kibbe car project, our 1973 VW Karmann Ghia convertible! This car was placed into storage in 1987 by my dad….after I spent two days crying about it leaving our family. He bought it back, put it in storage, and 30 years later it’s back on the road after a full restoration via Skunk River Restorations here in Ames, IA! My daughter Emily (who will be the next Kibbe to own it) chose to paint it the original color of Ravenna green instead of the yellow color we it had always been before. I think she got it right!

The Real Reason for the Season!

Of course, I’d be remiss if we didn’t talk about the REAL reason for the season, and that of course if the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. If the hustle and bustle of Christmas has you missing the point of it all, not to worry. Linus Van Pelt helped Charlie Brown with the same question a long time ago, so I’ll take his lead here and read Luke 2: 8-14.

If you’ve been meaning to learn more about why that’s significant, or perhaps it’s something you walked away from a long time ago, know that you can always come home….and Christmas would be a terrific time to do it!
