As SEMA 2014 comes to an end, I saved the best interviews and features for last. The Best Car, and the Best Race, all in one episode!
Interview #1 : Once again, the Ring Brothers have put together an amazing car and of course it is a Chevelle. Mike Ring took a few minutes to talk about the 1966 Chevelle they call “Recoil”. They have been working on this car for two years with only a short list of specifications as to how to build it.
The owner never saw the car during the build, and at the SEMA unveiling he finally got to see it for the first time, along with everyone else. The car features extensive subtle body work, a Wegner prepped 1000 horse supercharged engine, a Bowler transmission, and a metal “racing” inspired interior. Every year I look forward to interviewing the Ring Brothers as they are just great, humble people doing what they love to do.
Interview #2 : Dennis Pittsenbarger had the opportunity to introduce Jimi Day at the OUSCI driver kickoff meeting. I attended this meeting and am pleased to bring you the audio and give you a behind the scenes look at the Ultimate Street Car event. This is a Muscle Car Place Podcast exclusive just for you listeners! It will give you a good idea of just what the driver experienced on the day of the race.
This is the final installment of SEMA show 2014 interviews, but the information I gathered there will last all year and the friends I made will last a lifetime.
This concludes our SEMA Show 2014 content. Now on to Christmas…and 2015!
