K&F Show #347: Thanksgiving Special Car Movie Review – “Planes, Trains, and Automobiles!”

Few movies capture the chaos, heart, and humor of the holidays quite like Planes, Trains, and Automobiles. Steve Martin’s tightly wound Neal Page and John Candy’s endlessly lovable Del Griffith deliver one of the greatest odd-couple road trips ever put on film — a journey packed with missed flights, broken-down cars, and moments that somehow make you laugh uncontrollably and tear up at the same time. It’s loud, ridiculous, heartfelt, endlessly quotable, and somehow only gets better with age. This movie isn’t just a Thanksgiving watch; it’s a Thanksgiving tradition that reminds us that sometimes the people who drive us the most crazy are the ones we’re most grateful for.
From all of us here at Kibbe & Friends, we want to wish you and your family a warm, happy, and safe Thanksgiving. Whether you’re traveling across the country or just heading down the street, we hope your week is filled with good food, good laughs, and the kind of memories that only come from time spent with the people who matter most. Drive safe, hug your people, and don’t forget to enjoy the ride.
K&F Show #345: SEMA 2025, Road Coarse Racing, and Matthew McConaughey // Car Movie Review – 40th Anniversary of Back to the Future!

SEMA 2025 delivered one of the most electric weeks the KF crew has had in years—and Rob, Corndog, and Bernie break it all down in Episode 345 of The Kibbe & Friends Show. From jaw-dropping builds like the Ringbrothers’ futuristic Aston Martin to the return of real-deal ’60s–’90s muscle across Central Hall, the guys dive into everything that made this year’s show unforgettable. Rob also shares his wild post-SEMA detour to Atlanta, where Dallas tackled his first-ever road course race in the Moonshine Series—with delays, crashes, segmented cautions, and a hard-earned breakthrough behind the wheel.
To celebrate the 40th anniversary of Back to the Future, the episode finishes with a full replay of the very first BTTF review the guys ever recorded—an episode their team says “made the ensemble click.” It’s the perfect mix of SEMA chaos, racing stories, and time-travel nostalgia… plus the kickoff of their annual Toys for Tots fundraiser with the U.S. Marine Corps. Dive in and enjoy the ride!
K&F Show #344: Dallas Races and the KF Show Hits Vegas for SEMA 2025! Dukes of Hazzard Review: S1E12 “Route 7-11”

The crew heads to Las Vegas for SEMA 2025, bringing with them plenty of laughs, chaos, and one classic Dukes of Hazzard re-review: Season 1, Episode 12, “Route 711.” With Rob and Bernie on the ground (and Corndog holding down the home front), the team dives into the gambling-themed episode that mirrors their Vegas backdrop—complete with Bo and Luke unknowingly hauling a rolling casino, Uncle Jesse turning card-shark, and Cooter pulling strings behind the scenes. The guys also reveal some big updates for Kibbe and Friends: live Patreon broadcasts moving to a new platform, new YouTube plans for 2026, and the behind-the-scenes grind of capturing interviews across SEMA’s sprawling show floor.
From there, it’s full-throttle storytelling—Dallas Kibbe’s run at the Legends Asphalt Nationals, a turbocharged Holley feature, and a round of movie-car trivia that somehow loops Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson, and Cars’ Lightning McQueen into the mix. Add in Bernie’s trademark “news you didn’t ask for” (rogue monkeys and all), and you’ve got another classic K&F blend of cars, culture, and comedy. It’s Vegas lights, Georgia dirt, and General Lee nostalgia rolled into one big laugh-filled episode.
K&F Show #343: Bernie’s Birthday and a General Lee Giveaway (Maybe)? // Car Movie Review: “Speed Zone” – the Lost John Candy Flick!

The Kibbe and Friends Show returns with Episode 343 — and this one’s full of laughs, nostalgia, and big ideas. Rob, Corndog, and birthday boy Bernie celebrate his 65th with a mix of humor and heartfelt chaos while rediscovering Speed Zone — the almost-forgotten “Cannonball Run III” starring John Candy. Between movie trivia and behind-the-scenes banter, the crew keeps the laughs rolling as only they can.
Meanwhile, Rob gears up for Dallas Kibbe’s first Las Vegas race weekend, with the No. 13 car back on track at The Bullring before heading into the Asphalt Nationals. It’s a huge test for the season, and listeners get an inside look at prep, pressure, and the thrill of competition. And then comes a bold idea — could Kibbe and Friends actually host a General Lee giveaway? Not confirmed, but the possibility is on the table. Would you want in? Tune in to find out — available now on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and YouTube!
K&F Show #340: MOPARTY Recap! Vandemonium Win, Hemi Heaven, Autocross Chaos & Chats with Dylan McCool, Grant Skidmore & Tommy Boshers

MoParty 2025 delivered peak Mopar mayhem, and the Kibbe & Friends crew—minus Rob—brought the sights, sounds, and parking-lot “afterglow” straight to your speakers. Episode 340 opens with CornDog and Bernie’s unsupervised recap—late-night Hampton Inn vibes, fan-club grill action, and the now-legendary “Stand-In Kibbe” Iowa fact machine—setting a heat-soaked, laugh-heavy tone.
Promoter Jimi Day calls MoParty “America’s high-performance Mopar event,” and this year backed it up: autocross, speed-stop, drags, burnouts, monster-truck crush, parade laps, the mullet showdown, and the new circle-track headliner, Vandemonium. Crowds packed in, the sun didn’t quit, and the show never slowed.
On the field, highlights included ~35 Hemi cars in one lineup, a crisp white ’70 Road Runner pilot car, plenty of wagons, and lovable oddballs (mid-’70s Chargers, Cordobas, Magnums). Best of Show: a clean, purpose-built white Duster.
Vandemonium stole the night—YouTube’s Dylan McCool took the win in a 2016 A-Team-styled Caravan (proper cage, sticky tires, no ill-timed nitrous), and we grabbed him for a shade-tree chat on his “omelet C10,” shortened ’72 Challenger/buggy mash-up, and his dad’s hand-lettered Petty-blue ’70 Satellite. Fabrication fans will also dig Grant Skidmore’s lowered, Whipple-blown ’97 Jeep Cherokee XJ (AX15, leaf-under, 14.4 in the quarter), plus TV-vet-turned-creator Tommy Boshers’ family-built “Hemibago”—a ’71 Winnebago with a Hellcat, side-pipe cutouts, Road Runner horn, and delightfully retro interior.
Wrap it with classic K&F energy: Bernie’s news (NPD shout-out), a quick celeb game, and Rob’s home-front update—skipping MoParty to coach Dallas to a strong P2 at Elko. Subscribe on Apple Podcasts/YouTube Music, jump into Patreon at patreon.com/KFshow, and big thanks to Holley for making MoParty the fall’s can’t-miss event (Ford Intergalactic is up next).

Dukes Review:
It’s been three years since I last saw this episode, and I still get sick to my stomach when the General Lee gets stolen and brainwashed by the bad guys, then tries to murder the Dukes even though they all nearly get themselves killed trying to save him. Luke fights two guys to the death basically, and Bo is nearly smeared by a train at the same time. But just like last time we reviewed this if it weren’t for the miniature stunt – which thankfully were minimal – this episode would be an 11 out of 10. The General gets turned into a remote controlled car, set to detail a train full of money with a load of dynamite in the trunk. Boss Hogg was behind the scheme of course, but the Dukes came back and nearly fought to the death to protect the most important their lives: their honor? No. Their fortune? No? Their reputation? NO! It was their car! We have all learned this life lesson, and like them we all know that cars have a soul, need to be protected, and need to be fought for. I give this episode – 10 Corndogs, of which are Season 7 Corndogs, which do not have an equivalent exchange rate to say Season 2 or something. So 10 dogs here is basically the equivalent of 6.5 in years past.

Classic Dukes Re-Review: S7E17
“Opening Night at the Boars’ Nest”
Note: This Dukes review is a rebroadcast from Episode 236 of the Kibbe and Friends Show.
K&F Show Summary: I (Kibbe) was in 5th grade when this episode originally aired. I sadly didn’t understand it all coming to an end at that time as a kid, and now as a near 50 year old adult it seems just as hard but yet totally for different reasons. For the last six and a half years we have made a show about a show, and I for one have loved it! Anyway, enough with the sappiness. This is the final episode of the Dukes, John Schneider finally gets to write and direct something…..my High School Nova reappears one last time….and the General Lee actually gets hurt – from, a jump! The stunts are grossly limited as you’d expect from a cancelled show, but nonetheless the plot must go on. So…here’s the plot: there’s a Hazzard County talent show at the Boar’s Nest and Rosco has a magician’s act that supposedly makes Boss disappear. But when Boss actually gets kidnapped the Dukes must rescue him from two stone cold killers….so that Boss can get back in time to rescue Roscoe’s broken heart.

K&F Movie Summary – SPOILERS AHEAD:
We saw it! Ryan Gosling plays the Fall Guy in the big screen movie. Any of our fears about this ruining a beloved TV tale about stunts and jump trucks were wrong! The movie is great and while it might be a one and done it could certainly feature sequels too! Gosling plays the Colt Seavers, a Hollywood stunt man that ends up having to solve a mystery, while jumping trucks and doing stunts. Sound familiar?
Colt ends up being nearly killed during the opening movie-within-a-movie stunt (that Gosling really did) due to sabotage by the jealous star that he’s doubling. It breaks his confidence and takes him away from the career (and woman) that he loves. But, when Jody the camera girl becomes Jody the director of the biggest baddest stunt movie ever to be made….he comes out of retirement to get it done. And save the relationship. And solve the mystery of the leading man that was dead…..or was he? In it are thrown in intentional meta references, sound effects and songs that will make your hears sing, aliens that make you laugh, all leading to the good guy winning in the end with the help of the girl….and a brown and gold GMC truck.
Get to the theater NOW to see it on the real big screen. You’ll probably need to go twice.
