Following that we’ll head to the Roadkill Nights event in Detroit. Detroit, Michigan hosts one of the most famous car cruises on the planet, the Woodward Dream Cruise, and it draws millions of people every year. This episode contains interviews literally from the side of the road at Woodward Avenue on the property of the M1 Concourse.

Dukes Review: The preview shows jumps, cars sliding in a junkyard, and more jumps. You had me at junkyard. Luke’s long lost love (named Candy Dix – no joke) from his days in the Marines arrives. She’s now a huge Country and Western star of course and she has an abusive manager that would love to see her dead because her life insurance would pay off his gambling debts. The classic story, I know. Watch out for this guy – he’s a trickster – and he’ll be on an episode of Knight Rider in about 10 months driving the evil KARR, KITT’s twin (yet evil) brother.
Anyway, Bo and Luke get rid of the abusive manager, jump some stuff, cruise a junkyard with a Karmann Ghia in it, and then Tom Wopat sings at the end which I assume was part of the deal that brought them back in Season 5. It’s a good episode. Why? Because stunts solve problems people. They just do. And – there is an outside chance this is the same plot for the second Dukes of Hazzard reunion movie. 6 Corndogs.

Dukes Review: Dukes Review: Just when you think the Dukes of Hazzard has invented everything in modern TV and movie pop culture we find out they invented another huge celebrity that is my secret shame to zen out to…..the PBS sensation known as….Bob Ross. That’s right, this is a show about paining happy little trees faster than the General Lee can go from ’68 to ’69 to ’68. Boss Hogg has local painter Artie Bender declared legally dead so he can sell his paintings for more money….and it works, proving that art is subjective to the point of stupidity. Anyway, Aritie Bender witnesses a robbery, Bo and Luke chase the bad guys, Artie is declared dead and can’t vouch for them, Sheriff Little tries to kill them, and it all works out in the end. 6 Corndogs.

Dukes Review: It’s been a while since we had a good old hypnosis episode. Now, I must admit, this episode was one that I was dreading…..until the stunts started. This is the one where Daisy gets hypnotized into thinking she’s a long lost heiress of a really sad, dedicated, and super rich old guy. They even did a rare callback to a previous episode character (the hypnotist Dr from Season 4) and used the same silly music! And is it just me, or is hypnotizing someone against their will to gain financially more than criminal….maybe more like, evil? Seriously, Boss Hogg should probably go to prison for life here. Is this a great episode? No. But it’s not terrible. And in Season 6, that’s something. The End. 7 Corndogs.

Dukes Review: Paris Hilton’s aunt Kim guest stars as the long-lost daughter of Cooter. Finally! And there’s more aviation in this episode, but it’s a glider that’s launched by the General Lee and would probably crash due to lack of any real altitude. I digress. Anyway, Cooter has a kid…..but in Season 6, family values reign….and they make sure to point out that the child was conceived in wedlock. Later on, Boss Hogg starts a Jane Fonda type physical fitness campaign. Then we meet actually evil bad guys that Cooter keeps fighting with who are doing the most evil thing ever in the early 1980’s – dumping TOXIC waste. There’s a lot going on in this episode, but one thing is for certain…..there is not enough General Lee to make it fun. 4 Corndogs.

Dukes Review: Wait a minute. I watched the show preview. Haven’t we seen this one before? And was that bad guy……the African American “Car 55” cop from Blue Brothers? And is Boss Hogg committing insurance fraud…again? Dang man. This seems kinda boring. Daisy become a crop duster, Boss hired bad guys to do something, they double crossed him, one of the bad guys can fly a plane, they ran a protection racket against farmers by threatening to poison their crops, there are some great GL drifts in here at high speed….and the few minutes of aerial shots is awesome….but then Bo hangs by a rope ladder – from a plane – while the bad guys exhausts not one, but two 6-shooters trying to kill him….and he’s literally just hanging there, pretty hard to miss frankly….I’m at a loss here. I’m mostly in this for Corndog’s Book. Oh – 28 episodes to go. The countdown is on.

Movie Review: Back To the Future Rebroadcast! As a great man once said, if you put your mind to it you can accomplish anything…and we have just accomplished our review of Back To the Future, the most perfect, amazing, awesome, cool, and funny time travel movie featuring a DeLorean ever! Did you know that the DeLorean and KITT share something in common? Did you know that Ford wanted the Mustang to be the star instead? Did you know that nearly the entire movie was shot with a different actor playing the role of Marty McFly? If not…you guys just aren’t ready for this stuff yet. But your kids are going to love it. This one gets a perfect score: 10 out of 10 Pine trees. Note: This is our rebroadcast of our review of Back To the Future from episode 107. It was awesome then, and it’s awesome now. Dukes Review: The preview alone showed two movie-quality camera shots of the General that have been burned into my brain since the age of 8. Hell yes. Let’s be clear. The Dukes was once a show about race car driving ex-moonshiners, but it morphed itself into a classic Western with bad guys and good guys. And kick ass camera shots of sliding Chargers. And jumping Chargers. And people sliding in the windows of Chargers. And this one is the first feature of WHOGG Radio (obviously, we like any reference that shows radio being important and relevant.) The RidgeRunners are back. The Dukes pull a trick that will inspire the resolution to the movie Three Amigo with the art of confusion. And Daisy drives like a banshee in this one, proving a hot chick that can drive hot is extra hot….and she is on Enos’s jock like static cling (quote “Tone Loc” on that one). 10 Corndogs.
