Dukes Review: Rob’s Summary…I was in 5th grade when this episode originally aired. I sadly didn’t understand it all coming to an end at that time as a kid, and now as a near 50 year old adult it seems just as hard but yet totally for different reasons. For the last six and a half years we have made a show about a show, and I for one have loved it! Anyway, enough with the sappiness. This is the final episode of the Dukes, John Schneider finally gets to write and direct something…..my High School Nova reappears one last time….and the General Lee actually gets hurt – from, a jump! The stunts are grossly limited as you’d expect from a cancelled show, but nonetheless the plot must go on. So…here’s the plot: there’s a Hazzard County talent show at the Boar’s Nest and Rosco has a magician’s act that supposedly makes Boss disappear. But when Boss actually gets kidnapped the Dukes must rescue him from two stone cold killers….so that Boss can get back in time to rescue Roscoe’s broken heart.

Dukes Review: KF friends, we are on the dawn of reviewing the final episode of the Dukes of Hazzard. We knew this day would come. Dukes Review: The classic tale. Boy pines after girl, girl thinks of him as a friend, boy saves girls life over and over again…girl thinks of him as a friend again, boy once again saves girls life, girl proposes out of guilt, boy declines out of rightful pride, then everyone decides to get married, and then boy gets hives out of a reaction to happiness. The wedding is then cancelled until the 1997 reunion show where it will be on again…until it’s canceled again. If I didn’t know better I’d say this show was going to be over soon. This is a boring episode for the most part done with little to no stunt budget, but at least there are NO miniature cars used.

Dukes Review: Perennial bad guy actor Judson Scott returns in this episode. He’s been on the Dukes as a bad before…..but we all know him best as the Number 2 guy to the most evil space character ever in cinematic history. Nope….I’m not talking about Darth Vader, I’m talking about Khan Noonien Singh from Star Trek II! Khaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan!! That dude was pure evil. Anyway, Judson Scott was his second in command in Star Trek II. Unfortunately, that’s about the only remarkable thing about this episode to give you. There are miniature stunts, miniature prisons from which to perform a miniature prison break from, and a few funny scenes of Boss Hogg on a strict diet. Corndog spotted a General Lee with diamond tuck seat covers….so I guess that’s something. Meh. Sorry folks, can’t win ’em all.

Movie Review ReRun: Friends, prepare to enjoy a re-review if what is quite possibly the greatest road-trip movie ever made: Tommy Boy! Chris Farley and David Spade play (basically) themselves in this odd-couple MOPAR trip that saves the employees of Callahan Auto – and the town of Sandusky, OH itself – from the inevitable corporate takeover bearing down upon it. Chances are you have this movie memorized inside and out already. If you don’t, take a dump in a box and mark it guaranteed because you apparently have spare time. Plus, we have did the entire Second Hour of the show for the Patreon audience and have included it here….so if one show isn’t enough, two is going be as smart as taking the Butcher’s word for on a T-Bone steak. Dukes Review: This is the episode where the General Lee goes rabid! The General gets turned into a remote controlled car, set to detail a train full of money with a load of dynamite in the trunk. Boss Hogg was behind the scheme of course, but the Dukes came back and nearly fought to the death to protect the most important their lives: their honor? No. Their fortune? No? Their reputation? NO! It was for their car! We have all learned this life lesson, and like them we all know that cars have a soul, need to be protected, and need to be fought for. Quite honestly, if it weren’t for the miniature stunt – which thankfully were minimal – this episode would be an 11 out of 10. Plus, the bad guy just happened to be Kung Fun Joe from to classic movie spook “I’m gonna get you Sucka!”

Dukes Review: Cale Yarborough returns for some reason and he’s a better actor than many other guest stars! Mr. Belding (Dennis Haskins) from Saved by the Bell gets to be a star, finally! This is his third appearance on the Dukes, but first as a bad guy. More notably, and most importantly though, Al White (think “Jive Talk” from Airplane!) returns to Hazzard to play the role of another bad guy. Al White can do no wrong! Unfortunately, even though Cal Yarborough is here….this rest of this episode only does wrong. Lotsa wrong. Lotsa horrible horrible wrong. This episode features not 1, not 2, not 3, but 4 miniature General Lee stunts….and….AND….a two wheel ski stunt. I can rationalize the cost savings of not jumping real cars dammit, but putting a car up on two wheels? That’s like – $30 in tires at this point and $50 for Buzz Bundy to work his magic for 5 minutes. But, I digress.
Anyway, here’s the plot. An orphan is sick, he’s huge Cale Yarborough fan and though we’ve never ever seen him before (and we’ll never see him again) he’s super close to the Dukes and they get Cale to come and cheer him up.
These damn miniatures. Not even the awesomeness of Cale Yarborough, Mr Belding, and Al White can overcome that.

Dukes Review: We’ve been telling you for years that The Dukes of Hazzard was a modern day Western, just with cars instead of horses. Well – this time – it’s literal. This is the episode of the Dukes in the old west (and by that we mean the South, but that’s harder to explain). If you’re a fan of the Dukes you’ll like this episode. It’s fun. If you’re in it for the car, skip it.
I really think this was yet another Season 7 metaverse episode – like the Waylon visit – where they know it’s tv, we know it’s tv, they know it’s a western, we know it’s a western, and with a wink and a nod they just did the obvious next metaverse move. Frankly, the only thing they didn’t do in this episode was paint a horse orange and put numbers on it.

Dukes Review: I like classic Dukes scripts and inside references…..and this episode has both. A classic amnesia plot device along with framing the Dukes for (insert reason here) makes this a classic tale of southern fried 1984 goodness. But in Season 7, with all of the super terrible episodes we have to deal with, this one may as well be eligible for an Emmy.
Here’s the summary: A smack talking robot that looks like a dude in a cardboard robot costume your 4 year old would make comes to Hazzard, has a southern slang name, and becomes the new Sheriff of Hazzard.
You know that story you’ve heard that During World War I, on Christmas Eve, British and German troops stopped the fighting amongst to horror of war to celebrate Christmas together, that’s what this episode is like in Season 7. Amidst the horror, we have this nice episode. The episode you knew they had in them. Sure, there are some miniatures stunts, but just a few, and there are a couple of kind good real ones, and all the great stunts are recycled from previous seasons. Yes – I know that in Season 5 they offset the suck of Coy and Vance with AMAZING stunts, but this episode…..gives me hope.
