“Corndog Rescue Charger: ’70 Charger for Parts or Restoration – Saved from the Scrap Yard!”
This 1970 Dodge Charger was literally saved by show contributor Justin “Corndog” Cornette a few months ago from a local scrap yard. As you’ll see in the pictures and listing, it would be a major upgrade just to call it “rough”, but at this point a ’68-’70 Charger can’t be overlooked in any condition, even if it just ends up being a parts car…and there are actually plenty of good parts still on it!”
The car is very complete for the most part, but as you can see this 1970 Dodge Charger 500 is a project car, it is in need of an overall restoration.
All of the dash is intact, the AM/FM radio is there. The bucket seats, console, steering column, headliner bows, rear speaker… everything! The tail light panel trim, which is very hard to find looks in great shape. The car rolls and steers freely. The car is an original B5 Blue car with B5 Blue interior and seems to have been optioned pretty well. The car was originally an N-code 383ci car with a 727 automatic transmission and an 8 3/4 rear end. I did not check to see if it was a Sure Grip rear end or not. The car had factory A/C as well as AM/FM radio, factory rear speaker in the package tray, rocker moldings. It was definitely a very good looking car. Currently, the car has a 1966 383ci in it which is locked up, but there are plenty of good parts left on it. There are HP manifolds on the engine as well.
Happy Bidding!
