“All Original and Extra Ugly ’76 Mercury Montego: If it was Good Enough for David Pearson in the 1976 Daytona 500….”
Today’s Car: 1976 Mercury Montego
This is a car we’d never pick…except this week! In honor of Eddie Wood coming onto the podcast show we chose to feature the most famous Mercury Montego in the history of the universe – the #21 Wood Brothers entry – and winner – of the 1976 Daytona 500.
One new dual stage repaint in the Factory with Navy Blue Metallic. Brand new correct white landau vinyl top. Original interior with fron seat recover in very nice condition. Original door panels, carpet, dash and headliner all in very nice condition. Good original chrome and stainless trim.
The car is equipped with the factory 351 cubic inch V-8 factory automatic transmission, and a beautiful detailed engine compartment.
Body has no rust or accident damage… the underside is as nice as the top.
