How did YOU get HERE?
So, how did YOU end up in the auto industry? This is usually one of the top five questions I hear at shows. It often follows “Do you work here?” or (and I haven’t been able to make too much sense of this one) “Are you guys brother and sister?” As far as the do-you-work-here question goes, if you’re asking someone standing in a 10×10 booth at a show of any kind, chances are, yes. Yes, that person works *there*. It’s a reasonable question, certainly. Scan the industry as a whole, and you’ll see mostly men. How does a younger woman with a background in just about anything but cars end up in the world of hot rods? Well, start by marrying a hot rod designer. Not mine, he’s taken.

Allison Customs, August Update!
Well, the new web site is up and running (AllisonCustomsOnline.com). While portions of the site are still being constructed and new pictures are being added, I think the new look and feel of the site is going to make us all happier.
As far as project updates go, the 1970 Firebird is now mostly complete and back on the road for some testing and tuning. We still need to change out the door glass and the regulators, install a new hood (which hasn’t arrived yet) and of course paint the hood…….
