K&F Show Summary:
Two bad guys steal Mr. Belding’s (from Saved be the Bell) car and then heist a U.S. Mail truck full of little-old-ladies Social Security checks. But that’s not important right now, because this is the episode were we discuss the eternal question: if you believe in heaven, can you buy or earn your way in? Well Boss believes in heaven…and when he mistakenly is told he’s dying, but tries to right all of his wrongs by doing good deeds to earn his salvation. And when he finds out he isn’t dying later, he takes all of his good deeds back. There aren’t a lot of stunts in this episode…..but there’s a LOT to discuss. This may be the most morality questioning episode of the Dukes that’s ever been made!

Poor Cleetus makes the mistake of being #MeToo’d by Daisy Dukes, and his heart has to pay the price until she finally confesses to using her sexuality for personal gain. Poor Cleetus. But, love know no boundaries – and just like Cleetus we all have to take the high road and go on to date a bank teller anyway. This episode features Sheriff Little and is the second episode after the shift to the wide push bar General Lee. Also noted in this episode, no-one suffered from food poisoning and was stricken with vomiting and diarrhea for 4 hours straight.

This show features our review of the movie Cannonball Run, but it’s really more of a tribute to the late great Burt Reynolds who passed away a few years ago. We loved Burt’s crazy car movies and Cannonball Run was as zany as it ever got. The premise and screen play were a credit to automotive journalist Brock Yates (who makes a cameo in this movie), and then Burt, Dom DeLuise, and Hal Needham took of from there. Alter ego superheroes, cross-eyed proctologists, inappropriate humor (by today’s standards) and ambulances with straight headers are all you need to know. Thanks for the fun, Burt!

Accordingly, please enjoy our fully loaded rundown of Fast and Furious franchise trivia followed by the original review of the original movie (from Episode 44 of the Kibbe and Finnegan Show. ) Finnegan loved the movie. He also loved mini trucks. You be the judge.
This of course is a 20-plus year automotive franchise that took bunch of VCR and DVD player thieves to the stratosphere of international spies…..and proved that you can somehow do a burnout – AND a wheelie – and the same time. Jack Gill – who got his bones in the stunt world via the Dukes of Hazzard – has been the stunt coordinator for this series….and even Dukes stunt man Corey Eubanks was involved in the flipping of the bus in Fast 5. More importantly, this series pays attention to US. You’ll always see a car or two in here – sometimes in a major roll, that came right off the SEMA Show floor.
Fast X was supposed to be the finale of the series….but, just like those damn Marvel movies, this series prints money.
Picture Car Coordinator Dennis McCarthy has basically figured out how to make ‘68-’70 Chargers from carbon fiber and cheez-whiz at this point, so we say keep e’m coming!

Specifically, in this one we are re-playing the very first “OG” discussion between Kibbe and Corndog, circa 2014. It was a feature interview on The MuscleCar Place back during a simpler time, and a time when young Corndog was just stretching his might of General Lee knowledge into the internetspehere. Kibbe tracked him down due to his mighty flexing of knowledge on Dukes of Hazzard forums and had to know how this guy knew so much about the General Lee.
Long story short, it was this interview that launched the era of Dukes of Hazzard nerdlandia into The MuscleCar Place podcast network in a permanent way. The KF Show as we know if today (and Kibbe Lee) are all a result!
Also….we couldn’t record a “regular” show this week and had to pun next week. We needed to run something….so here ya go. The Bernie on the News is new and fun though, and thanks to Jason Roberts for hanging out with Bernie last week.

KF Movie Review: To commemorate our 250th episode we bring you Cannonball Run 2. By today’s standards it’s crass, racist, sexist, and a hilariously offensive automotive escape from reality. Back then though, it just was a crass yet hilarious automotive escape from reality. It stars everyone fun and funny from 1984 as you would expect from Burt Reynolds to Don Knotts to Frank Sinatra. If you liked the first Cannonball Run you’ll love this one….because it’s the same movie. Again. The Rigatoni’s and Fettuccine are in the mob, people pretending to be sheiks only because they have big noses, and John Schneider’s personal Lamborghini Countach makes an appearance with Catherine Bach! The cars are as big as the stars and they do what cars do best: slide and fly. This movie was hated by Siskel and Ebert because they hated movies that don’t make you think. But we don’t need to think. We never did. 10-Stars.
